IMO, pro sports in the USA have all been damaged by the unionization of the players. Prior to the unions taking control, players spent most, if not all, of their careers with one team. It was much easier to develop an interest in teams when they had the same players year after year. Now I don't know who plays for anybody and don't care.

I'm not anti-union at all; just don't think they belong in pro sports where all players are making so much money. That all comes at the expense of the fans, and it's apparent that owners and players don't care about them.

PGA golf is the only pro sport left where capitalism still rules.

The NFLPA has been around since 1956 and became an actual "union" in 1971

Yea, I'm pretty old. I think it was into the 70s before a strike ever cancelled part of a season. When I was growing up in the 60s many of the MLB teams had the same batting order for years at a time. Those days are long gone, and so is my interest.

Got home from Kentucky hunting today and watched half the NFL and even a couple National Anthem Singers take a knee.

Walked over to the DVR and hit "Cancel Series". I would record every game and watch the teams I liked, erase the others.

Now, Im not watching another game. I emailed them too.

A bunch of Over paid Prima Donna felons these days! I watch for entertainment, not politics. I guess they wanted to offend half their viewers, Just like the Emmy's. loco

The over privelidged, rich idiots think WE ALL THINK LIKE THEM! slap

I even wrote an email to the NFL. Get control over your dam employees. Most places I worked has a Code of Conduct when your representing the company. They need to as well.

Add not disrespecting OUR COUNTRIES flag to the list, not beating your wife or knocking her out in an elevator, not murdering folks like Hernandez, no dog fighting or Illegal gun possession or drug dealing like some of their ROLE MODELS (LOL) have been arrested for.

Just a simple little code of conduct.

Nah, Im done with the NFL until they take politics out of sports. Nothing like offending half your viewership!

I just finished watching the bengals packers game in OT. It was highly entertaining.

I don't watch nearly as many games as I used to. I do watch Dallas when they are on TV and I check scores for fantasy football. Until it hits the NFL and the owners in the pocket (which will probably never happen) it will continue.

I would have to start watching before I could stop.
I rarely even watch college games. Nothing but a bunch of thugs anymore. I have ZERO interest in watching.

It was. I also enjoyed watching the Saints slap the taste out of the Panthers' mouths while having lunch at the bar of the Original Oyster House on the causeway.

I'm now getting ready to watch the Raiders and Redskins get after it.

I like how Tomlin handled it with the Steelers today, and his explanation for doing it that way.

Never really watched much because they are a bunch of overpaid crybaby wannabe thugs anyways. Something happens when they get those big contracts and live that lifestyle for a bit. No longer playing with any true heart. The Anti American bull crap was the final nail confirming I won't even flip over for just a little bit anymore. No more NFL for me and no great loss.

1) All of them are thugs? Do some reading up on Derek Carr and Kirk Cousins playing right now, both great guys by all accounts. Along with dozens other I'm sure

2) no one is overpaid. You are paid what you are worth and what you earn

Never cared about pro anything. College basketball and just now getting into some college football.
