You need to find a co-op. Engineering students who come out of college without a co-op are at a severe disadvantage. oh I know, when it comes time for the engineering school I already have plans to do it. but id like to get a head start.

Have you looked into ALDOT? It's been a while since I've done any work for them, but they use to have programs for college students. Might still.
Sig Sauer, to hell and back reliable.
Whatever suits you just tickles me plum to death.
Can I refill your eggnog for you? Get you something to eat? Drive you out to the middle of nowhere and leave you for dead?

What skills do you have that you believe can translate into being an asset for an engineering company to hire you now? Now Blade, you're thinking like an old man. You know today's kids are entitled to a great career and lots of fine trucks and boats and a lake house. I mean any company should be grateful that a kid would consider letting them provide him with experience and a paycheck to boot! They were born, thats all the skill they need. They were given trophies just for participating, they're all awesome!
My opinions and comments are my own. They do not reflect the position or political opinions of Aldeer or any of the Aldeer administration.

Drive around and look for large commercial/industrial developments. Find the job offices (usually a trailer compound). Ask for the Project Manager and tell him you want to intern as a entry level field engineer. Most, if not all of those guys are looking hard for someone willing to work and learn. You should expect around $12/hr for part time or $15 for full time.
not sure what the best way to handle them is but they shouldnt be on tv and gettn married and raisin kids

Does anybody know any civil engineers around Montgomery. I'd like to start working with one to learn the ropes and become familiar with the field while I'm in school for it. Have you thought about the Air National Guard at Dannelly Field? My nephew is in a civil engineer company there.

Go with the flow and you will end up down the drain!
