If someone texts you and says they are going to call you and you have to enter a two digit code to accept the call - it's a scam. They will be co-opting your phone number for google voice.

If someone text me and says they gonna call me, I'd tell them don't bother.
Just text me. I never answer my phone anyway. I think a phone is the rudest most inconsiderate firm of communication. I will respond to text and email, I will not answer the phone. When you call someone, you're expecting them to drop what they're doing and attend to your need. Thats just rude as hell.

No way to hear the giggles or laughter of the person. No way to hear one's excitement, disappointment, anger, love joy, etc. Text is so impersonal. One of the reasons society can't have a face to face conversation or interact with each other. It's a lost art. God Bless, David B.
