I used a simple flextone call for several years with pretty good success, but it finally tore up on me last season. What do y'all like?

Older Tru Talker has been good to me. I bought into the hype and bought an Extinguisher to try this year.

I've called in Doe's with the Extinguisher (in October with the fawn bleat) also coyotes with the fawn bleat as well.

It has yet to bring a buck in.

Ain't never had any luck with any of them. I don't use calls or scents.

I would rather be tried by 12, than carried by 6.

The Extinguisher is my go to. I also have an old Haydel call that works too.

Old Rod Benson.

New ones don't sound as good. I have a old one that has caused the death of several full grown bucks.

I got an ol Primos Hardwood grunt tube from the late 80's that I only use during the rut for tending grunt sequences. I got a different flextone BC model that I use throughout the rest of season. I'd say as many as 50% of the bucks I've killed in past 30yrs have been brought in by a grunt tube and/or rattling. Light rattling with aggressive short grunts mixed in are a deadly combination on early season bachelor packs as they are just beginning to break up and establish dominance.

I had a local guy give me one for trailing his daughters first deer. At the time he was messing around making them in his garage, now started a business. Has a very deep sound and very realistic.

I have no affiliation with the company, but check out Old Crow Custom Calls. He is in Pensacola. Military guy who is doing this out of his garage.

If you practice the sound of a good burp has worked as well as any grunt call I've used.

Bought one of the Old Crow custom grunt calls. I'll be trying it out in November. ( Ohio and Kentucky) It sounds great.

Thanks guys. Been talking to the Old Crow dude and looks like I'll be getting one.

I bought some other brand on a whim at Dick's a couple weeks ago before this post and if I can return that one I'll get the Old Crow.
