I would, yes. Immediately. Like as soon as he stepped off the field and before even getting to the team or media room. He could talk outside the stadium if he wanted to. The announcement would be made to the media by the university president immediately, that an interim head coach would be named within hours and the search for a new coach already had begun via telephone call within the last 10 minutes to a search firm to get the process started. I'd have done the same if they had lost to Jacksonville State, too, even as good as JSU was. No excuses. They shouldn't go into OT against a JSU or LaMonroe or anything of that sort. If Nicholls State had beaten TammyU last week would Sumerlin be around? Nope.
