I ordered some bare shafts to fletch but after ording I have been questioned if 500 is enough spine for my set up which is 64" recurve, 32" arrow,31" draw 47/49 lbs at my draw. 125 gr point , 14 gr insert. Fast flight string. I am shooting 500 now but have never really bare shaft tuned etc , they seem to fly ok but I was told the fletched arrows may be making it only seem that way. What do y'all think?

I think .500 is about where you need to be. Definitely not a .600. You might could shoot a .400 but you would just have to bareshaft test to see. You might need a heavier head with a .400.

You could probaby go with 500 or 400 with a center shot recurve.
I would'nt worry if they are flying good fletched.

As long as they hit where you are looking go with it. With bare bow traditional shooting it is more important that the arrows match weight wise as long as the spines are more right for the bow weight.
In the old days we had to make sure the grain was oriented the same way with the fletching and nock so that the arrows would all flex the same way, but that is not a consideration with non-cedar arrows.
