I wonder what the fine is or will be?

Did y'all notice only the manager wearing shorts in the dugout had the nerve to laugh when Wally was throwing the bats and baseballs? I couldn't have held back if I was a player sitting in that dugout.

The umpire was the only person to get fined.

Wally is well known for epic come aparts. Need more Wally's in baseball!!

Watching that video led me to more of his meltdowns on Youtube. Entertaining if you like watching people having a conniption.

Billy Martin would even be envious of those tirades.

Wally had to have been fined. Mlb ain't gonna allow that much stuff thrown on the field and not fine him. 2 questions though...who was filming that...and it had to have been partially planned since wally was mic'd?

If I'm not mistaken it was being filmed for a documentary on minor league baseball teams. May have been hbo or somebody like that. They followed them for a season. Wally's melt downs are always good. I think he spent some time with either the Barron's or the biscuits if I'm not mistaken.

We had a season ticket package for the Biscuits for several years and I don't remember him with them. Another way I know he wasn't with them was that not once did I ever hear a player or coach cuss or chew tobacco. I played baseball and have been around baseball most of my early life and those are two things prevalent in the game. I always figured they were very strictly enforced league rules. Obviously, the league Macon is in has different rules. I respected those rules, not because either action offended me greatly, but it demonstrated the commitment those guys had to getting a shot at the big party and families didn't have to worry about youngsters picking up bad habits.

I should note that our seats were next to the visitor's dugout so there were plenty of opportunities to hear bad language, including the time the pitcher went to pee between innings and locked himself in the bathroom and the lock broke. They ended up putting in a new pitcher and had to get the Fire Dept. to get him out. No cussing, but plenty of big laughing from his teammates.

It was an entire series called Playing for Peanuts. Wally was briefly the Dbacks manager but I think some financial and legal issues forced them to can him. He's now a benchcoach in the Mexican league.
