I had some backstrap marinated in some Pelliteri's Marinade for Saturday but my family had other plans so I saved it and grilled it last night to a perfect medium rare. There was about a half of a backstrap uneaten this evening so I cut it into bite sized chunks and half a Vidalia and sautéed them in a butter bath until onions were clear and beginning to caramelize. That simple concoction may have been as tasty as any deer meat I've ever had. Think caramelized Vidalia and deer meat swimming in drawn butter to get an idea of the taste.
I've never heard of Pelliteri's marinade before but it was in the fridge, I later learned my son bought it to marinade a steak for a cookout they had. It looks like Dale's but has a different taste and includes lemon juice. It really helped break down the meat and tenderize it, plus had a really good flavor.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

Sounds great. That MrP's marinade will make you throw a bottle of Dale's in the trash. Their dry seasonings are top notch too. The lemon pepper, blue top butter n herbs, and black/orange label bold are my favorites.

Sounds real good. My favorite marinade is Allegro. Dales and it's likeness are too salty for me.
I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

If there's any doubt, then there is no doubt... The gut don't never lie.

Sounds real good. My favorite marinade is Allegro. Dales and it's likeness are too salty for me. Allegro is fantastic & I was fortunate to find it by accident. A relative had left it in my girlfriends fridge. The hickory smoke variety was delicious on thick boneless chops.
