Do y'all worry about the foc of you arrows? If so what do y'all consider good? Just for kicks I did the math on several arrows tonight , xx75 2016 ,xt 500 , heavy hunters 500 and 400 with 50 and 100 gr inserts , I ran the numbers with field points and a 2 blade broadhead. Average was 10% , the Heavy hunters with 100gr insert and 125 gr broadhead came in at 11.75% at a weight of 682 gr . I thought it be a lot higher. I have to shoot full lenght shafts 32" , I draw 31" .

I shoot GT35/55s 30"/100gr inserts/200gr heads..570 gr arrow weight out of a 52# recurve and a 57# R/D longbow. They fly like darts out of either. Never calcumulated grin the FOC but it is high.

I've always liked 9 to grains per pound.
With whitetail deer I think that is plenty.
Dont think you have anything to worry about with that setup.

the ONLY disadvantage to heavy arras/high FOC is in shooting longer ranges, ie: trajectory is greater. But I don't usually shoot over 20 yards so it is a non issue for me.

Penetration on angling shots or on big hogs is for sure better and sometimes needed. My rig will blow thru a 225# boars shield and stick in the off shoulder or exit.

Don't matter to me one way or the other. I'm more concerned about a proper tune. An tuned arrow will penetrate better than a heavier arrow not tuned. Shoot as heavy as you want but tune well.
