We dont like to dig them up and only excavate burials when we absolutely have to. Back then folks didnt think about the disrespectful nature of digging up burials, we do now. Ahhh, got ya

Yup, The graves that you saw were plastic skeletons. But it was covered up cause that is very disrespectful to Native Americans. Would you think its cool to show off your grandparents skeletons in their final resting place? So that was disrespectful but what you do ( as an archeologist, scientist ) to the Egyptians, Romans, Chiniese or the American Indians in the name of science is any different. There are more bones and artifacts on these college campuses from digs than in some large cemeteries that will never be seen. Not to mention the ones at Moundvill were plastic (who knew) but it was very educational. I've met a couple of archeologist that had there own private collections. Seem hypocritical to me but who knows where there stuff came from.

Moundville is having it Native American Festival first weekend of Oct. Lots of folks. and there will be a group of knappers back along the river, knapping and selling points.
I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....
