Heavy current, waves, wind, it doesnt matter. You lock it in on it and just walk back and start fishing. Dont have to pay a mate to assist with clients since they no longer have to be at the console to hold the boat on a spot. It will auto adjust to whatever is happening and hold you dead on the spot. Everybody I know that has one swears it's the best thing since sliced bread.

I just got a 23' CC with MinnKota iPilot 112# 36v and it will definitely hold you on a snapper spot. or in pass catching bait.

buddy of mine and I went out to a spot 14 miles out on a pretty rough day a few weeks ago. It was nice to hit that button and both can fish, you don't have to worry about someone holding you on the spot. we each caught our 2 and were gone in less than 5 minutes.

it also will do 3.8mph on the lake in smooth water.
