Been up here at Ross Bridge last couple of days. Sitting around at the pool and I've seen more doves than I care to count fly over. All heading south. Prolly close to 800 birds ranging from singles to groups up to 10. If any of y'all have a spot south of this place, bring plenty of shells.

I rode around Gold Hill and county road 22 towards the Chambers county line this morning drinking coffee and I saw at least 200 birds, maybe more. It was close to what I used to see after Christmas around Silver Hill and Robertsdale when I lived in Fairhope. I don't know that I've ever seen that many birds on the roads around here in the last 11 years.

Got a decent hunt lined up for Saturday. A little concerned about this cold front coming

Most of these birds here now are residents. They'll stay. Keep the food out they'll stay.

I went fishing yesterday afternoon, just so I had an excuse to watch the field I'll be hunting next weekend. I could've killed a limit from the pond in 2 hours, which is atleast 100yds off the field. Constants groups of 6-10 and a few groups of 50+. Should be a good shoot unless this big front coming through pushes them out

I like your optimism. I plan on being there Wednesday morning, after the rain on Tuesday, to seed a couple new areas around the field. Hopefully they will still be hanging around.
