Yeah, I wanted to pre order one until I priced them. I knew they wouldn't be cheap though.

All joking aside, they are expensive, so who makes an affordable alternative?

All joking aside, they are expensive, so who makes an affordable alternative? I guess I would have to know more about it,but isn't it just basically a high capacity 9mm 1911 without a grip safety? Folks have been pinning down grip safeties for over 50 years. I suppose that's an alternative, though I don't know if the Wilson XP has any other passive safety.

That is one of the few new guns that comes to mind that you can buy, shoot and then sell for the same if not more than you paid right now. That's a fact jack. Excellent point about Wilson Combat

The market on a used Wilson is about 75% of the new price. I don't know where you'd get the same money out of it. Apparently I sold mine too cheap. Most people that'll spend $3000 on used gun, will spend $4000 for a new one. That may be but I know for a fact I bought a new WC CQB in 2002 for $1699 + tax and sold it in 2015 and 4-5k rounds later for $2000 in crisp $100's
