Yeah, I wanted to pre order one until I priced them. I knew they wouldn't be cheap though.

They sure are sweet!

That is one of the few new guns that comes to mind that you can buy, shoot and then sell for the same if not more than you paid right now.

Pretty!

I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

Nice handgun, but my philosophy of arms doesn't allow for a manual safety,at least not in a carry gun.

I think that Wilson is a beautiful work of art,but I still haven't found anything better than the G-19 for a self defense handgun.

All joking aside, they are expensive, so who makes an affordable alternative?

I guess I would have to know more about it,but isn't it just basically a high capacity 9mm 1911 without a grip safety? Folks have been pinning down grip safeties for over 50 years. I suppose that's an alternative, though I don't know if the Wilson XP has any other passive safety.

The market on a used Wilson is about 75% of the new price. I don't know where you'd get the same money out of it. Apparently I sold mine too cheap. Most people that'll spend $3000 on used gun, will spend $4000 for a new one.

That may be but I know for a fact I bought a new WC CQB in 2002 for $1699 + tax and sold it in 2015 and 4-5k rounds later for $2000 in crisp $100's

I agree with you about Dan Wesson, but I read a bunch of negative reviews on the ECO a while back when I was considering a 1911 again, before I came back to my senses.
