If I ever catch that flock on my pond there is gonna be a massacre. Got plenty of cover to crawl into range and get at least 3 with the first shot before they get up, then drop 2 more as they fly up. Planning to use a tss turkey load with the first shell; tss duck loads for next 2 shots.

That ain't considered unsporting, is it?

I've never been or even killed a goose, but I got a whole box of steel shot from two Christmases ago that I never opened, and no plans on saturday so I'm planning to find out where geese live and go kill some.

Any tips would be appreciated.

We have about 250 acres of peanuts too but I figured the corn would go first, if it sits much longer it will be a toss up as to what he starts with first.

Is it illegal to shoot them while they are sitting on the water? Or is it just frowned upon?

I really don't know, I've never shot at a goose before.

If you get the suckers close enough to shoot and they are on the water, let loose on 'em.

Not illegal at all. The "wing shooters" think it is unsporting, but I think if I'm a good enough hunter to get them in gun range, they are going on the strap.

Plus, those local geese always need thinning.

Pattern the heck out of 'em cause they are creatures of habit this time of year.

A few years ago we had a flock land, let the kids unleash and then we joined in. It was awesome, most died on the wing.

We've got a couple dozen coming into a cut sudex field. Been watching them for a couple mornings, some will die tomorrow.
