Damn the sickle pod has taken over that field. Ive about got it gone from the house by pulling it. But I didn't have no where near the amount you do growing.

Sunflowers reminds me of some barrel burner dove shoots as a kid in Possum Neck, Mississippi. We had a big farm 5 miles away but this farmer had hundreds of acres of sunflowers. He'd hunt our place and we'd hunt his depending on harvest and where the birds were.

I wish I could have sunflowers! Planted 2 acres here several years ago and kept an electric fence around it until the heads were starting to dry. Took the fence down and within a week the deer had eaten everything but the stems. I hate deer!
