We have been hammering on the boars the past month or so. Can't hardly find a sow anywhere. This is the longest streak I have on record like this.

Since July 28 we have killed 39 hogs. Only 8 have been female. We ALWAYS target the sows first. We just can't find any right now.

The past two years we were a total 124 on female kills over male kills. This year we are 1 under on Female vs. Male kills.

It could just be a fluke or it could be a cause and effect from killing so many females the past few years. Just don't have near enough data to determine.

I have several farmers cutting corn right now. The Sawtooths and Chinese Chestnuts are starting to fall as well. That should really change things as it will get me on some properties I haven't hunted in a while.

I would hate to end up with a plus on the male side!!!!!!!

The hogs are in some odd places this year. Places that normally have run out of food have an abundance of browse and tender roots for them to eat.

All the rain has made for some odd behavior.

Most all I've killed on my property has been a boar. Over the last 3 years I've killed 4 sows and everthing else has been boars which are many

Three sows this past weekend. Just a small dent though.

Killed 6 sow pigs and two boars Saturday. We saw way more sows with pigs ( probably 50+ ) but those things are hard to hit running through cypress knees and trees. It's harder to find those pigs during the day with a regular scope because they don't just glow.

Went to a place in Autauga County that I hunt in Sept each year. The landowner has not bush hogged under the trees yet making seeing the pigs difficult. But, I did kill a big sow and 2 big boars last night and saw some small pigs. Gonna hammer this property hard for the next month. Hunted about an hour. Really I was just scouting the place out but I just can't pass up on killing a pig.
