Just an FYI...the registration for the youth dove hunts open on 8/28.

If anyone is planning on coming to the Marshall county hunt, it will be held on my family's farm. The corn will be picked and we've already got a good number of birds around. I may even be running my dog for some of the hunters if they would like.

Didn't know it would be on your place. Good stuff!

This is another good thing that the state is doing. I hear the shoots are normally pretty decent.

Solo, is that the hunt off Whitesville Rd? If so, we are registered.

We ended up in the Jackson county youth hunt. Son's cousin lives up that way so we're going to make it a fun road trip.

Ended up with the Madison County youth hunt on the 9th.

Yeah, well, I always heard there were three kinds of suns in Kansas: sunshine, sunflowers, and sons-of-bitches.

Yall's thoughts on the new process? Maybe a bit more painful than before, but I understand the logic... give more folks an opportunity to take advantage of the hunts available. I know I have been guilty in years past of booking hunts on both opening and the second weekend and not being able to make one of them due to a sick kid or unforeseen conflict. I'd send a note to the organizing District but I know it was too late to allow another entrant.
