Fwiw, my uncle has a chufa plate for a Covington planter. So they at least made one at some time. Might be hard to find, but I'd ask a Covington dealer.

I use a 2 row set of JD 71's. I have a set of corn plates that work pretty well with the NWTF chufa seed. I have been using this setup for the past 3 years with great success. Chufa seed goes about twice as far in rows versus broadcasting. Lord willing I will not broadcast chufas again.

One day I may remember to take some pictures and learn how to load them on here again.

Mike, like you need any help killing those poor birds. If they only knew what was coming they would fly two counties away.

Al this property use to be an outstanding property to turkey hunt in my younger years. I just didn't have a clue what I was doing back then. It's a special place to me because I killed my first turkey on this property. It's lost its turkey appeal over the years for several reasons. A big part is a lot of change in habitat and a decline in population. There is usually a good size flock that winters on the property so I hope to hold them through the spring when they find the chufa this fall. My intentions are nothing more than to turn this property back into what it once waa since I'm back home now. If I'm fortunate to kill a bird in the process that will be icing on the cake.
