7.62x39 ARs are famously troublesome. Most of this is due to the magazine/lower interface. The 7.62x39 is a noticeably tapered round which cannot feed straight up into the action. Check the proprietary mags for the AR that look like a boomerang. Note the AK and SKS magazines are curved end to end and lock up almost straight into the action. I think CMMG makes a mutant that takes AK mags if you want to look into that. If you want cheap I believe the 5.45x39 works better in the AR and you can still buy it for next to nothing.

My son and I each have one. Probably 1K rounds through the two without a hitch. And thats using cheap ammo like Wolf, Tul, etc... even some unknown steel case stuff. Also have run some reloads through them without any problems. Love the 7.62x39.
Its what the 300 Blackout wants to be.

Oh, BTW we have Spikes Tactical Lowers.
