What type feeder are you using gravity or spin type? If you are feeding corn yes this going to be normal especially if using a spin type feeder.

You need to put a corral around the feeder to keep the hogs off. Coons simply need to be killed.
Most co-ops sell a combo panel that is 16' by 34". Use 5 to build the corral. Deer will jump in. You can put a spin feeder in it or a trough with protein.

I don't like feeding from timed feeders in the summer. The heat of the day gets internal temps inside the feeder up to 140 degrees. Cools at night and condenses. Corn or pellets mildew real fast.

It's been a wet summer....everything has stayed green and the deer have plenty to eat. They'll soon start ramping up their food intake though as fall approaches.
