Good looking dog! I can't wait for it to start cooling off, myself. I really don't like to run mine too early... leaves are tough and the chance for them to get tripped up over a rattlesnake or the like is just a little too high. May give them a chance in late Sept, if it's a normal transition to fall.

You gonna pull them pistols, or whistle Dixie?

I'm ready for cooler days too! I'm like you and waiting till it cools off some before we head out into deeper woods. He's just 9 months old and still has a lot to learn but seeing the time and effort starting to show has got me ready to hunt!

Looking good ! It's frustrating but we sure don't get much dog working weather in the early season. I sure hope we get an early frost this year ! You can sure loose years of work with a dog in a hurry from a snake bite in the next two months.
