I'm not really speaking as an apologist for Moore, but his willingness to hold to his beliefs have actually cost him money and power. I think you are misinformed and haven't been following the news. He got forcibly removed from the Supreme Court......twice. If that isn't losing power I don't know what is. And yet ends up in a better, more powerful job both times, assuming he gets the Senate seat, which it looks like he will. He seems to personify taking a step back to move two steps forward. Meanwhile, his charity is collecting money from people feeling sorry for him, from which he and his wife are paid a salary. Cry me a river.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

I probably wouldn't even like the guy personally. But these are our choices. Classic Trump vs Hillary deal.

The first time, he was removed, he was later reelected to the same position. So, I don't see how that was a step forward. Are you saying he shouldn't be paid by the charity he runs? I don't know of many large charitable organizations that are run entirely by volunteers. The fact of the matter is, if he had not been removed a a judge, he would still be a judge. The people of Alabama obviously disagree with the judicial ethics commission, which is a total joke anyway. He didn't get paid by the charity while he was a sitting judge. It was only when he was not on the bench and it was at a rate less than a 1/3 of his salary when he was a judge.

moore refuses to obey a basic tenet of christianity: give to God what is God's, and to Caesar (the government) what is Caesar's. when a person takes the oath of office, he promises to uphold the laws of the government in whose office he serves, NOT disobey them when convenient, so help him God. Jesus also said, let your yes be yes, and your no be no, to NOT take oaths. with moore, we see why ...

The last time, he did nothing wrong and it was a freaking joke of a dog and pony show to get him off the court. They were looking for any excuse they could come up with.

I'm not sure how the canons and ethics of being a judge work, but aren't you bound by some doctrine or principle to obey the rulings and orders of a higher court? For the record, I'm pretty sure he'll be our next senator so I hope and pray that he is everything some people think he is and my sleezeball detector is wrong this time. One of those times I would take no joy in a "I told you so moment".

Jesus also said, let your yes be yes, and your no be no, to NOT take oaths. with moore, we see why ... It's apparent that you have no idea how heavily this country and the rule of law set forth in it, were directly influenced by Christianity and the bible itself. If anything Roy Moore was protecting the American way of life and UPHOLDING the rule of law as set forth by the framers of the Constitution. When the laws that have been created through overturning God's law are the rule of law in the land it is our duty as citizens and politicians alike to return the country to the original rule of law on which it was founded. This isn't hypocracy. And as I say this, I'm not insinuating that Roy Moore is the man for the job. But, he did raise some very pertinent questions about the process of law during that entire incident.

Another thing he stated was about impeaching the Supreme Court members who were making up law, or something along those lines. Is that even an option??? Yes, they can be impeached for the same reason the president can.
