I had a optima for a few years, only got rid of it when I got my Apex. It is a good shooting gun, it shot well with 110 grains volume blackhorn 209 under 250 grain Hornady SST. My son has it now, he loves it. Midway USA had a good sale on them a couple of weeks back. If you get one take the scope base off and clean out the screw holes before you mount a scope and start trying to zero - don't ask me how I know slap

I had a CVA optima -- nothing negative I can say about it. Shot well. Easy to clean. I think either of those would be great.
