Looks like downy or powdery mildew from excessive humidity/moisture Wouldn't that wipe off with a little pressure? I tried that. It seems to be in the leaf. Buy the way this is mostly durina clover.

How tall is it? It can cause it own mildew problems if it gets too tall and starts to smother itself out. BUT don't mow it shorter than about 4" unless it's in shaded areas and/or rain is a sure thing within a day or so. The flip side is when the cool fall weather gets here it will rebound any way.
I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

Not necessarily. Once mildew has set on leaf surface the spores can disappear but still see the evidence of the disease after they're no longer present.

If it is powder mildew, is there anything to do or just let it go and hope it goes away?

I bet its just heat stress.....especially if this happened after you cut the field. It's that time of the year when most clover goes dormant in these parts.

It was on it before I cut it. I did some research on fungicides, but I don't know how much good it would do now. I'll let it sit for a while and see what happens.

Did it seem to get worse after you cut it??? Weeds are actually your friend this time of year in a clover patch. They offer the clover a little protection from the direct sun. Mowing right now almost insures that the clover will go dormant when exposed to August heat and dry weather. It would be better to mow in September when the heat breaks.
I have a bunch of new nuttal oaks planted that I let weeds get grown up around and over take the little oaks during the last few months. Well, when I cut back all the weeds from around them and exposed them to the direct summer heat the other day….several of them started getting stressed and turning from green to looking like they might die. I think they’ll make it but its an example of how the weeds were providing shelter from the intense heat. The trees were not acclimated to it and when I suddenly exposed them after being in partial shade all summer….they got stressed. Same concept with clover this time of year. Keep us updated. I’d be interested to see what the issue turns out to be.
