I'm heading to my camp this weekend to put out some cameras and try to get summer inventory of the bucks we have on the property. It's all river swamp in Washington County, so we've got quite a few pigs. Other than a gravity feeder that the hogs can't reach, would there be any specific locations that the pigs would not be as likely to frequent?

Nothing specific. Maybe up on ridges and other places. Best way is just try different spots. But they'll find it anyway at some point. I just sprinkle the corn thinly on the ground. Lasts a touch longer.

I've gotten deer on lucky buck and never had hogs mess with it. They were staying busy on the feeders.

I can't do anything without the dang hogs taking it over. They tear up every thing with feed, wallow in mineral licks and have started rolling away trophy rocks. You can try anything but the hogs will find it.

Buy a trophy rock, drill a i/2" hole thru it and dig a hole and put in a 5' 4x4 and put the rock on top of it and run a 1/2" lag bolt thru it. The hogs can't reach it, but the deer can. Put up your camera.

Feed the hogs in wet areas and feed the deer in dry areas?

Trophy Rock on t-post works.

Buy the 34" combo panels from the co-op and build exclusion corrals around your feeders. The deer will jump in and the hogs won't. Works with spinner feeders and trough feeders.

Im with blumsden. I would mount salt blocks on 4x4 post about 5.5ft off the ground. You could use a lag bolt or all thread into the top if the post to mount the salt block or whatever you want.

I went with the trophy rock on #4 rebar. Ran the rebar into the ground a few feet, then ran a steel fence post in right beside it and wired the two together, with the rebar sticking up a little higher than the post. Drilled a hole in each trophy rock with a hammer drill and set the rock down onto the rebar. As far as the drilling goes, make sure you have a sharp drill bit and that it is no larger than 1/2 inch. I thought I could get away with using a 5/8 bit and it made the rock break into 4 or 5 pieces...did that twice.

Thanks all of yall, especially Brandon (3FFarnms) for the help, we'll see how it works!
