I currently own 3 different yaks and I've owned 2 more that I sold. I've fished one CPR tournament on the River Bassin trail. It was okay, just not my cup of tea. My favorite part was just going to Macon, GA and fishing water I've never fished before. I don't have to enter a tournament to do that.

Yelp, you need to come to the coast and let an 8 pound red pull you around. Perch, some of my kayaking buddies and I go to Grand Isle for 4 days every year. We've been doing that trip for about 7 years now. That marsh was tailor made for kayak fisherman. Stalking shallow water reds with a fly rod is more like bow hunting than it is fishing.

I borrowed the neighbor's tandem yak and chased reds and trout around the bay. Mrs. Geno paddled it around with me and decided we need two regular ones.
I'll be buying a couple soon.
