All the talk about shooting house rules reminds me of a prank I pulled on a past member that was being a real jerk about "His" Shooting House.
It was about 12 ft up in the air. Several of us helped him put it up. Was a 4' by 8' shooting house with flip down windows. He became a real jerk about the house after it was setup.
I didn't hunt it until Jan and wasn't going to hunt it at all until he started really being a jerk about it.
He put a latch on the door on the inside of the shooting house. A hunter had to climb up the ladder open and reach in the side window and reach back toward themselves and half was down the door just to get to the latch to open the door.
Not safe at all. You had to be on the top step just to reach the latch.
Anyway, I have a good collection of brass from all the hog hunting we do. So, I started riding by there each weekend and throwing another spent brass in the window. I made sure it was a different caliber each time.

A small rechargeable spot light (oops forgot something when I was in a rush to get to my deer), an empty can of sardines and Little Debbie wrappers would also add to the ambience.

On Texas deer leases, most deer blinds are considered private. You didn't hunt out of another persons blind without their permission. The concept of sharing here in Alabama seems odd to me. I hunt with 4 other guys and our guests on a regular basis. So if we were in Texas, there would be five shooting houses sitting on the primo sites? I'll take the Bama way. Personally, I try to take a little pride in my shooting houses I've built and like to share them as long as I feel that people appreciate my efforts.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

Or, you could have what we had one time, and I won't name names even though I'm sure the statute of limitations is up. I will also say, that I was absolutely not involved in any way. Seems one of our local pranksters knew what stand our resident female hunter preferred. After pulling a 3.5'-4' alligator out of a pond soon after his dogs disappeared while visiting the pond, he decided the appropriate place to relocate it was in the shooting house she prefered. The only problem was that the intended victim was not the next hunter to sit in the stand. It was another guy that is a regular hunter. Now it is not unheard of to have creatures in our shooting houses. Coons, owls, snakes, rats and others so you always open the doors carefully and with an open eye. But the hunter readily admits that expecting a creature is one thing and finding an alligator 8' off of the ground is another. Speck, the hunter, said it is amazing how fast you can go down a ladder when you need to.
To finish the story......It had been very cold the night before and this was a morning hunt so the gator was either dead or so sluggish it couldn't react as cold blooded creatures are wont to do in freezing temps. When Speck gathered himself, he was able to climb up and pull the thing out by the tail. By the time later that day when we went to check on it, it was gone, either it warmed up enough or another creature dragged it off or, most likely, the perpetrator destroyed the evidence.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

Guessing that's why he is a "past member"?? No, but that was indicative of the mindset that made him a "past" member. Hell, he got ME in the club. Now I don't get invited to camp meetings but I do get to come to all the workdays, hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.............lol

worst I ever did was fill a shooting house 2' deep in crawfish parts....I think the owner ended up burning it down.
I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....

Put an owl decoy perched on top of the shooting house chair facing the door the night before you know someone is hunting it in the morning....

Our winter wind is predominately from the NW, so the SE side of the green fields/prime areas are where the shoot houses are. I would hate to see the wasted resources in having multiple houses in the same field/area. I was in a club that allowed members to lock their house up, it was always a source of controversy. They would get pissed at me when I would go in and climb close to their house, they had the mindset since it was their house it was their area. The year some Ahole went around putting super glue in the locks a couple of days before gun season opened was my last year with that group.
