Thou shalt not steal

I was in Home Depot last week. I had several items and going thru self checkout. I had but 2 3/8 x 2 bolts in my pocket for safe keeping till I got to checkout. ( I promise !).
After paying and headed out the door I remembered the bolts in my pocket. I started to go back but I didn't.
About 5 miles down the road I couldn't find my IPhone. Damn I left it in Home Depot, back I went to self checkout and paid for the bolts. Just as I was about to ask about my phone a lady walked up and told me my IPhone was at service counter.
Lesson learned...

I have done the same. I have enough to answer for when I get to heaven, so I walk back in and pay for the stuff. The looks you get are pretty funny.

I had a cashier at walmart give me $40 too much back in change one time. I literally got laughed at when i went back to give it to her. By the employees and by customers. When its time for my book to be read off, i thought it best that that particular incident not to be in it.

I bought some 3/4 plywood from K-3 lumber several years ago, 8 er 9 pieces, they loaded it. When I unloaded it they had loaded 1 piece too many. I knew I was going to get some more in a day er two so I waited. When I got the new order I had em make the price right. They couldn't believe I didn't just keep the extra piece!!!! Now I just load what I want, go inside and tell em what I got, pay and go.

On the other hand when I was in Eutaw I went to my bank drive in and cashed a check for $80.00. As I drove off I was counting it and realized the teller had given me $100.00 I drove straight around back to the window and told the teller she had made a mistake. She very rudely pointed to a sign and said if I drove away from the window it was too late to change it. WTH? I sat there a sec and drove off......

Yeah, HD and Lowes has those bags near the loose nuts and bolts, but nothing to write the SKU# on them with.

Most of HD bolts now have little number on them.

I was at a Walmart one time and bought a couple small things and a trail camera. As I got to my truck I looked at my receipt and saw he didn't scan the camera. At first I was like wow I got a free trail cam. Then about 3 seconds later I felt bad and went back in. The guy thanked me and said that may have saved his job because they check sold vs current inventory. I got it from my dad, I cant stand the idea of stealing, accidental or not.

Hell I went by the local Dari Delite a few years ago after a softball game like we done a few nights per week.Ordered,got to the window with my card out to pay.Guy finally came to the window after a couple minutes and gave me my drinks,came back and gave me a bag of food and said it would be a few more minutes on the rest.Between all this time I was talking with the wife and daughter about the softball game and had seriously thought I had paid the guy already.He came and gave me our last bag and said thanks sir have a nice night.We left and didn't think anything about it.Went back a few nights later and when we got to the window the same guy looked out at my Tahoe and told me he called the cops on me for stealing food.I bout come unglued.He was a pure dick democrat.I told him he could shove the food I just ordered up his ass that I didn't want it but if I honestly didn't pay for it I was more than happy to take care of it.I paid him $23 for the food he said I didn't pay for and left.Pissed me off so bad cause I'm alotta things but a thief ain't one of em.Ive stole 1 thing in my whole life..A Valentine's sucker off Adam McDonald's desk in 4th grade.Thought I was gonna get in some serious trouble for that and it scared the chit outta me cause the teacher was mad as hell and ive never took anything that I wasn't suppose to since.

Irish Jr. ordered a set of really nice headphones off of Amazon. Like $250 headphones. They didn't show up on time. They said they were lost in shipping, so they issued him a full refund back into his account a day later. Another day later the headphones show up.

He's like, "Cool! Free headphones."

I'm like, "Um no. You need to call customer service and tell them you got the phones."

So he gets in touch with them and they tell him to keep the headphones and the money.

I watched a delivery truck pull out from a lumber store in Pelham a few years ago, he dumped 6 rolls of 100' 2x4 fencing on 31 and kept driving so I stopped and loaded it into my truck and drove straight into the stores parking lot, walked in and told them what happened, they were very rude and argued with me that they had no truck carrying fencing, told them I have it in my truck they would not come out to even look so I took it home and sold most of it...wrong..I don't think so

I once had a similar experience when they didn't scan some jeans I bought. I didn't think the price was right, so I looked at the ticket when I got to the truck, then carried the jeans and ticket back in.

She didn't laugh at me; she was all kinds of rude and acted like it was my fault. I avoid that store if I can, but it's often the only alternative to an hour drive.

The lady in Dollar G gave me too much money back in the checkout. I told her, mam you gave me too much money back. The younger woman looked at me like I was crazy. Sad that society has fallen so far.
