I was at expo defending myself from an onslaught of ticket rafflers when i stumbled across these folks. They wer from oklahoma and sold treestands and accessories. They had a fairly neat camera arm but was really expensive. They also had a loc on there as well. This stand was called the lil ambush and wieghed a woppin 6lbs. I liked this little feller an ima by one. I hunt with nothin but loc ons an this thing was lighter and more comfy than both my old loc on limits. And the seat was way better. Its a small stand and probly not very comfortable but it weighs 6 lbs so thats a good trade off for me.

Nothing that isn't comfortable is worth a hoot. If you aren't comfortable it doesn't matter how much it weights. Just that your butt hurts and you can't sit still or long.

looked it up, how does it attach to the tree? seems like the pic they used has a couple of generic ratchet straps on the top and bottom

I've got an XOP that weighs in at 13 lbs that's for sale on CL

So it's a bicycle seat with a platform?

Its got a little bracket doodad on the back and comes with some ratchet straps.but ima do away with that nonsense i convert all my stands to a single cam buckle. I sit on the one at the expo the seat folds out away from the tree an it wasnt that bad..better than some ive set on before, platforms a little bigger than a shoebox hehe. I like small light loc ons tho because i usually walk a long distance and they have to be light. Ill prolly put me a good cushion on it tho cause i do sit an let my legs rest right before prime time late in the evenin. Really depends on how good a spot im in,wet or dry stuff like that.also the pic there is their first model the seat is a little bigger on the newer ones

Death trap. No way in hell I'd stand all day. To be able to stay in the tree I prefer to be comfortable. That platform is too small too. I hope you didn't cut corners on your safety harness too. That seat is too close to the tree. No way, good luck, you'll need it. I'll take my Millennium. Name is appropriate, the buyer got AMBUSHED.

I'm too old and skittish to hunt out of those anymore. I'm all about comfort these days, makes me stay in the stand longer.

I'd start strapping loads to my back and hiking up hills to increase my ability to pack more in. There's no way I'm hunting from that thing if it's half as small as it looks.

Are you supposed to put 2 side by side to get a cheek and foot on each?

I'd fall out of that stand in about 20 seconds, even if it was sitting on the ground.

That looks a lot like some of my homemade stands from my younger (dumber) reckless days.

Yea, forget that. One of my ass cheeks won't fit on the damn seat.

No way in hell I'd hunt from that thing, however, if it works fo you that's all that counts.
