Hanging from a harness doesn't sound comfortable, but what do i know? It's got a seat, so I think it would be, but I don't like staring towards the tree while I hunt, I want that at my back.

Jono - I found this review searching for a picture of what you were inquiring about. Never heard of an ambush saddle http://www.huntingnet.com/forum/bowhunti...son-review.html

So do you that thing is comfortable? Only your lower back is supported. Movement is what gets you busted. If a deer comes up behind you and you try to move around the tree you are busted. It may work up North, here in the South you are busted. Our deer look up. I've been busted 30' up. They have been out a long time. the company went under for a reason. I'm surprised no one has sued them out of existence. People doing stupid things have destroyed many companies here. API is one. Their stands were safe, but an idiot hung himself improperly using a safety belt and his family won their lawsuit.

I've personally never used the new tribe saddle, so I can't speak to it. Bob Sheppard convinced me to try out the guide's web. I used it for a couple of seasons. It was comfortable and extremely mobile, which I loved. It was much slower getting up and down a tree using screw in steps, but that wasn't a deal breaker for me. What was the deal breaker was after about the 3rd time that I had a deer come in at about my 3 o'clock and there was absolutely nothing I could do to get a shot. Maybe shoot lefthanded?

I have a Guido's web. It definitely gives you one more thing in your arsenal that could give you the edge. It's not the be all and end all that some people make it out to be, but it has it's uses for sure. If a tree can hold your weight, you can hunt it with the Web.
People complain about screw in steps, but I just have a few sets of sticks I pack in and use. Easy. It's not as quiet as some people say and that's mainly due to the brace that hold you away from the tree. It can make a loud pop when you shift your weight to push off the tree. If you know this can happen you can prep so it doesn't.
I saw someone on here say the deer will see you moving. I found it to be the complete opposite with the Web. If you've properly scouted your location you'll have a pretty damn good idea of where the deer you're hunting are coming from. I position the tree between me and the deer and even at 10' they never knew I was there. When they turn away you slide to the side and schwack em. If you do it smart they won't see you.
The best thing about these is the ability to hunt anywhere in any wind. They have a learning curve to be sure, but I've used it several times when I otherwise wouldn't have been able to hunt and that's paid for it. They are overpriced though HA!
The buck stops here.

Maybe with a rifle. Bow hunting is what gave me problems.
