I always vaccum seal then move a little and seal again. If you press seal when all the air is gone it will barely pull any out.
Would walk over a naked woman to get to a gobblin turkey!

Freeze the food you need seal, then seal it. This is what we do. Works great.

Look at vacmaster sealers. They are a chamber vacuum and do an excellent job. The downside is cost for the unit. You can get one in the,400-500 range. The plus is bags are much, much cheaper and better than the food saver bags and the unit does a better job sealing with all food types. I even sealed a bag of pure water and made an ice pack
Two roads diverged in the woods and I took the one with deep ruts, hills and mud.It may be bumpy but WHAT A RIDE!
