What type is the best bang for the buck? Who has the best quality? I would prefer room for a single shooter. I would also like enough room for a tripod shooting stick. I would like to leave it up as a permanent blind, but how long can I expect it to last? Any thoughts on portable blinds? I need multiples, but don't want to break the bank.

I bought the cheapo Ameristep on sale at Walmart for about $45 in January. I'd brush it in. I think I boogered up spot where I put mine up by not having it completely hidden. It will be hid better this year.

All the ones I have used for $150 or less are essentially throw away. But I have got a couple seasons out of them. They are not completely waterproof so they leak a little and eventually they just get get tears in them or seams come loose. All in the price range are cheaply made. I prefer the ones that have the windows in the corners so you can't see directly through them. The ones that have a window all the way around seems like don't work as well for me. Animals can see you move. i.e. the Crush and Brickhouse Ameristep style is what I like better.

I have a steel platform that Ameristep once sold that you put a Ground Blind on top of and I have used it for years now. It actually isn't bad just not real high. The main problem with these blinds is in Velcro and bad attachments on the windows and window flaps.

Some of the more expensive ones are much nicer like the Double Bulls but I'm too cheap to buy one.

Try hard to find a blind without velcro. With a coupon code, I think I paid around $80 for this one.

I also have an ameristep brickhouse. Hate the velcro.

I've been using a Promos club blind for a few years. If you search you can find them for @ $120. Kept one in a swamp all season last year's and anchored it down real good. You could see how high the water got when it flooded. Blind was just fine.

The majority of my blinds are Ameristep Brickhouses but I've also been real pleased with the Bass Pro Blackout X72 and X83 blinds.

I primarily hunt from ground blinds and use the Ameristep Brickhouse. I take them out of the woods at the end of season every year and they have lasted for several seasons and have many more left in them.

I made a blind out of Privacy Fence. Lady at school want to get rid of it. I just screwed it together at corners and cut some windows.
