Probably has not changed but your vision can. Your dominant eye is constant through your life, kinda like someone is always right handed. The brain figures it out from early age and barring profound vision loss or injury, it sticks.
75% of folks are same side dominant (right handed/right eye dominant or vise versa) so there are plenty of folks, me included that are cross dominant. I'm right handed but my left eye has been my dominant eye from my teenage years when I discovered it. It has not and will not change.
It's very common however for your vision to change. Usually our dominant eye has a little better vision compared to the other eye but that is not always the case. As time moves forward, vision can change to the point that the dominant eye doesn't see as well as the non-dominant eye. That does not mean your eye dominance has changed. In those cases, correction is needed to restore the crisp vision to the dominant eye.
To answer your question, no way would I recommend trying to shoot with the opposite hand. Way easier to correct the vision.

All your muscle memory is in the side you've been shooting on and to change is to train the other side which will take a while. If it doesn't bother you to shoot like you have been I'd keep doing it

I use to be right eye dominant until my early 20's when I got a piece of metal in my eye while working construction. It stayed in there for five days before I had to go to a specialist to get it out. It left scar tissue on the pupil of my eye. At some point after that and I don't know when my left eye took over and became the dominant eye. It didn't affect my ability to shoot a bow or scoped gun but seriously messed up my ability to shoot a shotgun. Before this happened I once killed 15 doves with 18 shots. Now it takes a box of shells to kill three or four. To make matters worse I had Bell's palsy when I was 14 which paralyzed the left side of my face. I got over it but never got to where I could close my left eye without closing the right. I have to really focus on looking down the barrel with my right eye.
