The anti-inflammatory properties of CBD alone are more effective than pills, and it won't jack up your liver or kidneys.

Is CBD now legal in AL?

they sell it at several store's here, so I'm gonna say yes.But dont know for sure

A Dr in another state told me to get some, but I didn't think it was legal in AL. I would rather not spend any time in Rockford jail or have my pic in the Coosa Co News. smile

With all the brilliant legal minds on aldeer, gotta be someone who knows. Anyone have first hand experience with it? I'd appreciate any info and a pm would be great to avoid making us both look like unemployable, lazy dopeheads. smile

I tell you what pisses me off more than anything about the way they criminalize pot……It’s when they fly that damn helicopter back and forth over my property and right through my backyard. That seems to me like a violation of my right to privacy and not having Big Brother just randomly searching me and my stuff for no reason.....and it seems even more stoopider to be doing it over a damn pot plant.

People can argue the shade of blue of the sky just to be a contrarian.

Why don't you answer my question? Why don't we make alcohol illegal and make it criminal to possess alcohol? It causes a lot more health issues and accidents statistically than marijuana.

I'm not taking a side here, merely pointing out the fallacy of your argument because, well, it's just that obvious and I like to keep things logical. Maybe, just maybe, alcohol statistically causes more problems and accidents BECAUSE it's legal. Your argument is like saying more people riding on airplanes die in plane crashes than people who are sitting in their living room. Carry on.

No Sir, alcohol causes more problems because it is actually more detrimental to the health and more impairing of the senses.

I used the argument of why we don't outlaw alcohol to try to get the closed minded here to see the parallels between alcohol and marijuana.Just study history. I thought history and prohibition was a known factor but it seems it is not,or my argument would have been understood.

We stopped prohibition because it didn't work! We spent millions and millions of dollars to stop alcohol and all we accomplished was to make the gangsters and foreign interests rich through selling alcohol on the black market. That is exactly what has been happening in this country for the last 30 years during the war on drugs.

We haven't stopped marijuana at all! I haven't smoked marijuana in 20 years, yet I could go out and have some in my hand in less than an hour. It's like that anywhere in the US. Anyone who wants pot can buy pot.

Everyone who is against legalization seems to think if we legalize marijuana people will suddenly be able to buy it,who couldn't buy it before. That belief it the epitome of ignorance. Anyone who wants to buy marijuana can already buy it on the black market.

What I would like those naysayers to understand is that the black market doesn't care who it sells to or how old they are. That dealer will also likely have crack, heroine,LSD,and any number of drugs more dangerous than marijuana for sale.

Legalization will simply take money away from the black market and make it less sustainable. That's exactly what happened to the bootlegger. Yes,there may still be a few around, but there is much less demand for his product now than there was during prohibition. It is no longer a booming industry as it was then with the criminal underworld having a leading role bringing all the violence and corruption that money under the table brings.

I don't even have the room to talk about all the petty crimes that we would free the system and citizens from if we decriminalized marijuana.

For everyone against legalization,I ask you to please try to think about some of the things I've said. This is not an issue of do we smoke pot or do we not smoke pot. If that were the case,I would vote to not smoke pot every time.

The truth is folks that we are already smoking pot and hundreds of billions of dollars over 40 years has not even put a dent in stopping it. There is only one question we have to answer. Who do we want to control the marijuana industry and where do we want the money to go?

We just got back from Boulder, CO on a college visit. More than half the people there were from out of state. So, I'd say it's safe to say that people are moving out there for a reason.

Again, prohibition has never worked and will never work. PERIOD. We are wasting money on the war on drugs. I challenge any of you to tour a Bham area high school on 4/20. The whole place smells like a Grateful Dead concert. All that money is currently going to fuel the violence in Latin America which is a large reason why we have so much illegal immigration.

They have all had a turn. He is no better or worse than any of them, but locally and statewide I will find it hard to vote incompetent incumbents or those career politicians aspiring for another office any more.

Nothing new, History does repeat itself!
There are reasons why the elites like progressive ideology.

Legalizing pot is not the end all, it's just another link in the chain.

Quote:
Why Study the Weimar Republic?

The history of the Weimar Republic (1919-1933) illuminates one of the most creative and crucial periods in the twentieth century and serves as a significant case study of the critical issues of our own time. Many of the questions asked about the Weimar Republic are relevant to problems that individuals and societies face in the twenty-first century.

Citizens and leaders of the Weimar Republic had to wrestle with the problems of a newly developing democracy: the creation of a new constitution and political culture and the need for institutional reform particularly of the judiciary, the police, and the educational system.

The Weimar Republic experienced hyper-inflation and depression, gender and generational conflict, political violence and terrorism, conflicts dealing with the relationship between church and state, and racist antisemitism.

The fourteen years of the Weimar Republic were a way station on the road to genocide, and yet they also witnessed the struggle of many decent, sincere people to create a just and humane society in a time of great artistic creativity.

marijuana is so powerful that millions of people are consumed with trying to get it legalized. their not trying to get prescription pills, heroine, coke or even life saving antibiotics legalized. why should I not have access to penicillin that could save my life by having fast access. well because penicillin is boring and has no psychotic effects. its a free country and I should be free to buy penicillin to save my life. iam not totally against pot, I think if your over 50 you should be free to use it.

I guess pain killers are legal too, but people still go to jail for it.

I don't believe there is any argument that smoking weed is bad for you. We don't know how many people will use it once it is illegal. I'd use baiting as an example. Plenty of Alabama hunters bait now. If it's legalized, that number will grow significantly. Same with pot. Secondly, I view it as a win for liberals and one more step away from traditional values. In general, I don't like the idea of legalizing it.

My conflict is the constitutionalist in me. As much as I don't think that increased pot usage is a good thing, I believe that people should control their own destiny. If we were a completely free market society, with limited government intrusion and subsidies, I'd be all for it. Go screw your life up and it would have no affect on me. As we stand now, Id rather tackle more pressing issues involving government intrusion into our lives. Healthcare, welfare, and the general enslavement of the tax payer. Correct those things, then legalize anything you want.
