95% of the fishing i do is below Logan Martin dam. I've seen some really stupid people do really stupid stuff up there. About a month ago I was up there and saw a guy run over the top of the big rock up there. I figured he must have been a fng because everyone that fishes there orients them selves to that rock because it's rarely under the water unless the floor gates are open.

I've seen idiots fishing with the gates open and no PFD on. That is trying to drown yourself!

it pays to look at the dam rocks when the water is low and avoid em when water is up. I've seen idiots run full speed under Logan Martin and knock the foot off their motor on those rocks.

I was trolling my way down river from the dam and the water was off. Right below the island I saw the whole foot of an outboard laying on the bottom. Kinda made me wonder how the rest of his day went. Witch brings me back to once again say that a bad day fishing isn't better than a good day at work.

I dunno....I think I'd rather be at work than on the river literally ripping the lower unit off my motor. That's just me though

I can't believe that guy stayed til it got that low. Had to have damaged hull too. About put his marshal in the drink.

I almost effed up royally at pickwick below Wilson dam in February. My partner was deaf as hell from years on a carrier ship and on the railroad. Anyway, we were below the spill gates and the horn went off. I bolted my ass back to the console and cranked it up. We headed back towards the lower end of the horseshoe and just as soon as it spilled it stopped. So I carried my rump back up into the slack water between the spill and the turbines. Told my guy to get on the console and get ready to crank it up. I hook into one about that time. I had drifted off the slack and into the current. His dumb arse didn't hear me tell him to crank it up and we barely missed a huge boulder just subsurface. I chewed him a new one and wiped my own. We had a mutual understanding to make sure to repeat aloud what the other one said when in that situation again to prevent loss of life.
