Threw the ol' Gridleak Special for a little while Sunday evening. Caught a couple. Always fun to use and tinker with to get "just right."

Yep, a Torpedo. I throw the frog color most of the time. Great little bait, especially when the prop is tuned right to rip.

My favorite topwater is the old Cordell Crazy shad. I have killed schooling fish with those. The clear tiny torpedo is hard to beat too.

I asked a friend of mine who works for PRADCO if they make the Magnum without paint - in clear. He said no, only the small one.

I had, and may still have, some of the glitter flake Magnums somewhere. They were clear underneath.

Found my cache in the garage including a medium-size clear. Caught five on it, all small, but they hit it when they wouldn't hit the frog color the last two evenings.

Clear works because they can't see anything but a disturbance, or they are feeding on small fry. I never bought a clear crazy shad tho. The tiny was my clear lure. Clem wwhat do tyou think about those Live Target clear cranks that have a pic of several minners inside? Have you seen the spinnerbait they just introduced? It has several minners swimming around the blade(hookless) No wat I'd buy one. Many times thru my life I've had them hit the blade. No hooks in the blade either. I want them to bite something with a hook in it!!!

I've seen the crankbaits with images inside. I think they're gimmicky. Wouldn't buy one.
Saw the spinnerbait photos last week from ICAST. Wouldn't buy one of those, either.
I think some of what is introduced at ICAST is like the Paris and NYC fashion shows or concept cars: weird chit some designer wants to show off.

Yeah, Yozuri introduced a spinnerbait with no blade. It has a solid ball instead. Both clear and colored.
