What decoy setup would you use to draw ducks to a small (2ac) pond about 600yds from lake Neely Henry?

If ducks are using the pond now then just mimic what you are seeing with your spread. If they are not already using your pond, you will have a hard time of it.

The absolute best decoy set up is food. Flooded corn, milo or millet will work better than 100's of the best decoys or even a mojo. If that isn't possible then are you trying to decoy ducks already using the pond or draw ducks flying over. If trying to kill ducks that are already there then mimic the species and use a dozen of your best decoys in the spot they are using. Add a jerk cord and it should be money.

Trying to draw ducks flying over the lake is a different ballgame. Visibility and motion are the keys to a good shoot. Mojo's are very effective at getting a ducks attention. I like mojo's that can be turned off and on. Leave them running until a flock veers your way and experiment with turning them off and on. Sometimes the mojo will initially draw them but they will flare from it as they get closer. Sometimes running nonstop is the ticket and sometimes off and on attracts. Don't be afraid to try different numbers of mojo's and different variations.

Visibility can be accomplished with decoys. More decoys are more visible. Also pintails, shovelers and diver decoys will stand out because of the white. Just be sure to use ducks that are in the area.

Two duck hunters will only agree on one thing and that is the 3rd duck hunter is doing it wrong! Good luck and have fun.

You're sol unless you get the birds using it. Once you get some using it, toss half a dozen mallard decoys out in the spot they like, then shoot them when they come in. Doesn't matter what type of birds are using it, just by 6 cheap ones and hide well.
