It was announced yesterday that James Cook, Dalvin Cook's (FSU star RB and 1st Rd NFL draft) little brother just de-committed from FSU. He had been a solid verbal commit since 8th or 9th grade and is supposed to be a better back than his brother. Huge loss for FSU. Rumor is he likes Kirby and GA.

I am deeply saddened by the recent turn of events surrounding the recruitment of James Cook, brother of Dalvin Cook(the best RB the ACC has ever seen). However, Cam Akers and Khalan Laborn are helping me handle this very well. Jacques Patrick is a junior this year and there were a few other RB's signed that will hopefully contribute. I feel sorry for James if he goes to Ga. I believe that team is cursed.

I think they'll be fine. Akers is the #1 RB in the nation and Patrick is about 240 lbs. That's alot of lead to send downrange.

Dalvin is good, but if he is the best your conference has ever seen, it is not much of a conference. He wouldn't even make the top 25 of all time SEC backs.

Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

You serious Clark? I believe he could easily fit in the top 25. Maybe even close to top ten. Did you see how horrible FSU's offensive line was last year? Naw, he is definitely a great back.

He's good, but you are giving him way to much credit on the national and historic scene.

Dalvin Cook was/is a solid running back. Two seasons over 1600 yards. Over 6 yds per carry.

He had more yards, td's and probably better receiver than any back at the Barn or Bama.

Not taking anything against Cook, but I doubt he'd do that against SEC Defense's...just my opinion

I had to look it up, but Cook actually had more total rushing yards in 3 years than Bo had in 4. And yes, Bo had an injury his junior year, but so did Dalvin.

Dalvin also played more games than Bo; but he is a top notch back and will probably make a better pro than Fournette

Just for accuracy's sake, Bo played in 42 games at AU, and Cook played in 38 games at FSU.

I hate to keep throwing shade on ole Dalvin, he is a great back that will do a heck of a lot better than Fournette in the NFL. HOWEVER, Ole Dalvin cant hold Bo's jock strap. Bo was the GREATEST running back to ever play the game, hands down.

And this comes from a Bama diehard.....

Bo is in the top 5 all time greats EVER. That includes all conferences. I was saying that out of the SEC Dalvin could have been in the top 25, closer to busting into the top 10. He is not in the same league as Bo or Herschel.

Booger, I give you credit, being an FSU fan in the middle of Bama and AU fans is kinda like swimming in shark filled waters. You handle it all in stride. I really hope FSU has a great year! Well, except for the first game, grin

FSU always tends to get great athletes, Alabama does the same. James Cook would have been a great addition but there are other horses in the stable.

Y'all do know that Dalvin flip flopped a couple times too right? I think they get more money and nicer cars if they play hard to get.

I think you're right. FSU will likely be even better than last year and all Louisville has left is the Heisman winner.

If he plays like he did last year against the Noles, that's all they will need to beat them again. That said, I think Bama will tighten FSU up in Game 1 then FSU will roll through the rest of the ACC (Louisville included) and the two will meet again in the playoffs assuming Bama doesnt screw up somewhere along it's SEC portion of the schedule.

Doubt that. FSU will not be in the top 5 at the end of the season.

Who's going to beat FSU in the ACC. Clemson wont with Deshawn gone. I dont think Louisville will. Miami needs another year. I think they have a pretty easy route to the playoffs. One loss against AL early wont keep them out. ACC will be represented in the playoffs regardless IMO and I may be wrong but I see FSU winning the ACC.

If Miami gets a QB solidified they will be in the ACC champ. They have a returning 1,000 yard RB and a returning 1,000 receiver plus most of their starters return from a top ten defense.

It will be like the late 80's and early 90's all over again, except for the addition of Nick Saban. I'm looking forward to it!!!!!!!!!!

FSU is gonna lose their 1st and last game of the season! 2 lost team will not make it

Hate to break it to you but unless FL's QB comes out like a heisman winner, they will lose 2 games for sure and possibly as many as 4. Franks, the probable starter, is unproven and inexperienced and played in a very low talent level district in HS. He's big and projects very well but he's not used to the level of talent he will see running a SEC schedule. FL will lose to GA and FSU and has a good chance to lose to Mich and LSU too. FL is definitely getting better but is still a couple years away from being a contender.

GO GATORS! If that AZZhat McElwain doesnt beat FSU, McElwain will become the first coach in school history not to beat the Seminoles in his first three years at UF.

UF may be a better fit. UA and FSU are both stacked at RB.

I was at the North Carolina game. sick The kids had a good time anyway. (I did have to get the wife straightened out. She put a football shirt on Slade that happened to be North Carolina blue.)

As long as we score at least one touchdown and they get Dippin' Dots, they're happy. smile
