Kick Missouri out (i know it won't happen bc of tv).I wish Texas would join but they're the future Notre Dame as in they think they're bigger than the sport so it will never happen.I agree about West Virginia joining.Lousiville would've been a great addition way back when they were only in conference USA.Louisville will never leave the ACC now.I wish they would go ahead and switch Missouri and Auburn from the east to the west,it's gonna happen sooner or later.

The SEC isn't going to kick out Missouri just because they suck. Vandy would have been gone a long time ago if that were the only reason. Missouri is in until it decides to leave because they're enjoying the prestige and money of the SEC and the SEC likes the TV market.

Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Houston, West Virginia, possibly Miami, FSU if it ever decides the ACC isn't fun anymore, possibly Virginia and/or Virginia Tech are likely candidates. The first three would/could be good additions to the West, along with the geographical realignment that would put teams in their proper regions (Missouri in the West, Auburn in the East, etc.)

I still think a "Super Conference" of the top 40-60 teams is more likely, although with ESPN's financial problems probably creating a major shift in the next round of TV rights bidding could also be a big factor.

Teams are contractually committed to the Big 12 for only a few more years. Until then, nothing happens, but when their contract is up, that league will fold quicker than a blink. At that time the SEC will have their pick. I think they would like the OK schools.

I'd like to see Clemson or Va Tech join the SEC. Maybe Oklahoma.

Missouri won 2 of the last 4. My point was they may suck, but they've been the best in the East.

The only team I have seen that was making a request for a move was auburn wanting to move to the east. Let them go.

I would think auburns main demographic is Alabama, Georgia and Florida. It just makes more since for au in the East

if bringing back Tulane, why not bring back Georgia Tech.

Tulane (3) and Georgia Tech (5) do have more SEC Championships than Kentucky, Mississippi State, Arkansas, South Carolina, Missouri, & Vanderbilt

I didn't know that on the SEC championships.

I went with Houston due to them not being in a major conference plus being located in the forth largest city in the country. Tulane based on the same thing with them being in NO plus a former SEC member. Now I'm sure the powers to be at LSU would oppose it.

I didn't go with Tech even though I thought about it but with them being in the ATL I figured the ACC would fight like hell to keep them in that conference.

Yeah, auburn passed Georgia Tech with their 2004 SEC championship.

Agree on Houston being good fit

I would imagine the Houston/LSU and Houston/A&M rivalries would be great

When the Big 12 folds, and that is on the way, the SEC will have its choice of teams and they will go after the biggest TV markets.

I hate them but they have a large following and would add to the revenue stream.

Put auburn in the east where they want to run to, put FSU in the west and pick up Tulane to take auburn's place in the west.

Definitely. If the SEC could get Oklahoma, OSU, West Virginia, Texas, Kansas, and convince Louisville, Miami, Clempson and FSU to leave the ACC, they could reconfigure not only the league divisions but possibly the entire football landscape with essentially half the country's TV coverage from West Virginia to the Desert Southwest and much of the Midwest.

Despite ESPN overpaying for rights fees and feeling it now, the potential TV deals for each division, the Division Championship Games and the SEC C'Ship Game -- imagine that, an SEC Playoff for the SEC C'ship AND the probable lock for the overall playoffs -- would be astronomical.

Or, the SEC somehow adds enough teams to go to four 4- or 5-team divisions with a North, South, East and West setup. Then it has division champions who are in a playoff for the SEC C'ship and the SEC Network keeps those Division Championship games for itself but sells the SEC title game. Huge money possibilities.

That would be wild, a 20-team "Southeastern" Conference with four 5-team divisions that play each other, three non-conference games and three other conference opponents on a rotation. Probably won't get that large, though.

Clem I think that would basically be an NFL type setup. That would put the SEC champ against the EEC (everybody else conference) champ in the CF Super Bowl.
