Before our NOLA trip (which I survived, BTW) we had painted our den - we had 70's era wood paneling. That turned out great, and last week I started tearing out old carpet, carpet pad, etc. Today the flooring guys finished up and it looks great. We got new hardwoods in the den, living room, dining room, foyer, and hallway. Needless to say, my honey-do's list is being checked off while it ain't deer season! LOL

At one point the kitchen had a China cabinet, grandfather clock, and a baby-grand piano in it...

And in with the new! Killer isn't too keen on the hardwoods just yet. Gonna take a bit of time for him to warm up to them. LOL!

Killer actually posed for this pic... grin

And last but not least, the view from Killer's level!

Looks good. I've laid my fair share of hardwood and don't miss doing it.

So........ what kind of nastyness did you find when you puled up the carpet? I pulled up some a few years back and was amazed at how much dirt had made it through the carpet and pad. crazy

Many people say the quarter round should match the flooring. Others claim the quarter round should match the baseboard.

My uncle and I joked each other for years over this.

Looks good for KAD level, I'm surprised the antlers didn't make the cut though!
