Grilled pork chops, grilled potatos, romaine salad, and grilled peaches for dessert.

Parked in a holler, beneath the mountain moon light.

Still calling BS on SBS's weekly food expenses.

Red potatoes were 2, 5lb bags for $5, bought one for $2.50.
Pork chops were $1.29/lb, bought 5lbs for $6.45.
Peaches were $0.39 each, bought 6 for $2.34.
Romaine lettuce was $3 for a package.

Assuming that there are 10 potatoes to a 5lb bag, that's $0.25 per potato. I ate one last night, so that's $0.25. I ate 1/6 of a package of romaine, so $0.50. There were 8 pork chops in the 5lb package, so that's $0.80 per pork chop. I ate one peach, so there's $0.39.

That brings my total to a whopping $1.94 in money spent on last night's dinner. Add my wife's to that, and we almost spent $4.

Beer was free, cheese was a few cents, ranch dressing was a few cents, charcoal ain't included in groceries.

I also forgot that I ate 1/8 of a bag of romaine, not 1/6, and We are less than one potato each because I had some leftovers for lunch today, so those make up for the ranch and cheese.

All total it was under $4 for both of us.

Is there seriously nothing better to do than critique another man's grocery budget down down to each individual cent? Good Lort.

Some people (not singling you out jbc, as I did leave a few things out) are just pissed off because I can eat really well and save a chit load of money, while they're spending hundred of dollars more per week than they need to on groceries.

Wal-Marks in Moulton had one marked $30 or so dollars down. I can't remember the price though. I want to say in the neighborhood of $240.

Didn't mean to sound pissed. Was just ribbing a bit since it was a hot topic last week (or 2 weeks ago).
The food looks awesome.

No doubt looks good. I wasn't critiquing

I just know we decide to have taco night and all of a sudden I've spent $40 at grocery store

I need to follow you around
