In my younger days I used some like that.
The fumbling in the dark with the arms and nuts
To get it on a tee in the dark with out waking the woods
Was interesting to say the least . New technology is amazing.
Whether you step up to the new stuff or fix that one up
Just be fair to yourself and family and wear a safety harness.

Every day's a gift !

That with a good Safety vest and good climbing habits and I

Sounds like you have excellent hunting skills to be very
Successfull from the ground. To be honest I just love the hunt
From above.
If you ever want to try it I will drive any distance for you to try my set up.
Sounds like you miss the Upstairs View!
Let me know if you wanna try mine!

That's really nice of you my friend. I'll probably wind up with one even without trying it. I think I can tell it will be about what I need.

Yes,I mostly miss being able to see better from up higher. I don't know about being a good hunter. Mostly I know how to be still and quiet and I know which way the wind is blowing, other than that I've always been pretty lucky.

I'll give God all the credit for helping me survive. I did do a lot of really hard praying and begging when I was hanging upside down in the dark and I couldn't get my feet loose or get back up on the foot platform. I finally managed to get my feet loose with God's help I'm sure and I slid to the ground. I wasn't far from the ground when I was hanging,I just couldn't get loose and I was really blessed I didn't break both ankles. I tell everyone to cut those webbing straps off their stands and replace with a tarp strap. At least the tarp strap will give.

Thanks Jamie, if you find yourself bored one day when the weather starts cooling down give me a shout and we can meet up and go shooting or something. I'll try it then if I don't already have one. I would be honored to meet you sometime.
