The only ones I shot I hit just below the ear. Both dropped and never moved. That's where I'll be aiming
I would rather be tried by 12, than carried by 6.

I shoot em where ever I can hit em. I killed 3 yesterday. One shoulder shot with a 3006 ran about 10 yards. Shot 2 with a 308, one head shot one neck shot. Both dropped. Shoot them in the ear if to get the most meat you can. I shot hornady sst 165 out of the 308 for the first time and I was very impressed. I normally only shoot barns.

It was awesome, i stalked up on mine with in 20 yrds, and after shooting him he was grunting and jogging toward me. So he got double tapped. Other guys used pistols, rifles. One guy used a knife. Was awesome to see that many and now I have fresh pork.

Sometimes the head and neck shot aren't there.
