My tomatoes have produces a ton of large green tomatoes, but since ots gotten so hot, they haven't turned red. Do yall have luck bringing green tomatoes inside amd putting them in brown bags?

With tomatoes it often seems like they take FOREVER to turn color once they're full size.

Although some tomatoes will ripen off of the plant, my advice is to at least let them stay on the plants until the first sign of color. You can then finish ripening them inside. This is what I've done in the past to prevent bird damage. Look for the first signs of color on the blossom end of the fruit.

Once they get some color my wife pulls them and puts them on large piece of cardboard in bedroom and they ripen in couple days, if we don't do this crow's and redbirds get them

Thanks, I brpught in a couple tonight that started to change color. Birds were a problem last year. Ill use these two to trst how to handle the rest.

Generally speaking, I pull the tomato once it has color and bring inside to ripen on the counter/table. They ripen fine and we avoid the birds, cats and German Shepherd dogs that seem to be enamored with bright red things!!
