Awesome looking mounts!
That Merriam has some good hooks to have come from that area. I have seen two that were comparable. That area is not know for producing big spurred birds. I killed a stud one year from that area. I kick myself in the rear end repeatedly for not mounting that turkey. I probably will never kill a Merriam with spurs that big again.

I probably will never kill a Merriam with spurs that big again. if nfhunter didn't have 3 in front of him that he was trying to figure out which one to shoot, the beard of the one we did know that was a long beard went down and tucked under his breast. and with them in front of us it took a while to figure out which one it was. in the waiting, this bird came in and I was able to get on him and it was shoot on 3 thing. but I shot a tad quick.
if i hadnt taken up hunting i might have became a juvenile delinquent or worst taken up GOLF
