Now what?? With his son out of softball, at the moment, and not the head-coach-in-waiting, does it affect his stay as AU? I think it does but that's just my guess. Hope it doesn't because he is good for SEC softball. I just feel he was setting his son up in a winning situation and then turn it over to him. Now that's not going to happen.

Right now I don't know if ANY SEC job is good or bad. The competition is horrific. Vandy missed the boat and its too late now.

Yea, who knows but I think he was on a mission and son derailed that mission. If he had been arrested I believe that is public record and a reporter would have published that. If it had involved AU it would have come out. So that leaves family and that is on ones business. Good luck to him.

The Fagan player needs to be gone. The Fagan coach I don't know about but seems she does have a history. This team doesn't have the attitude of last years team. The Fagan player doesn't have that 110% attitude and team first.

Like him or not, Myers is good for AU, the SEC, and the level other teams must play at. Like when Spurrier was at UF, he was good for competition. Of course, Phillip Fulmer would disagree.

His indiscretion is pretty common knowledge and it is mostly family business but it also violated the NCAA Sexual Harassment Policy, but no laws. If he didn't resign, he would have gotten fired, unceremoniously.

To me, Clint Myers is one of the 2 best hires Auburn has made. The other goes back all the way to Hal Baird.

Its not just you. Baird and Myers have been their best hires in my lifetime. Not sure on Myers but Baird brought unmatched class and integrity to Auburn.

I've only heard one rumor and it is pretty well sourced. The most common one is the correct one and my previous post should pretty much tell you what it is.

It looks now like Daddy Myers may be grooming Dallas County's own Hunter Veach for the job. He is the one that got promoted to take the place of the fired Myers.

I don't see it that way. I don't think he had a choice with it being mid season. Hiring from outside would be a distraction and require his time. Promoting within was no transition, no new face, and there was only like 2 assistance to choose from. It appears to me he went the route of what is best for the team and AU right at this moment. We'll see if he stays if he fills that position from the outside now.

His sister looks TALL! She is gonna be one of the best by senior season.
