Anybody know where to get mounts for this scope and what they are called?

That's odd. It sorta looks like a Sako dovetail rail itself on the dang scope. But that is backwards for mounting to a Sako.

From the rear and moving forward, a Sako dovetail gets narrower by 1mm for every 16mm forward it goes, or some rate similar to that off the top of my head.

But you already know all this.

It looks like the mount you will need will have to be female/female to rail mount on anything.

I'm just thinking out loud here.

Looks real similar to Swarovski sr rail mount but not quite the same. What brand scope is it?

All that is on the scope is "Hunter" is got really clear glass though. A google search of the patent number returns a possible hit for a Hakko brand made in Japan

I was going to say just glue it on.

Looks totally different from VM or ZM rails. Possibly an earlier system. Contact the company if possible and ask what the system is called.

Assuming the scope tube is a common od, could you take a regular set of rings and mill a slot in them to accomodate the goofiness?

It's not a dumb or goofy mount system. It may be obsolete however.Just find out what it is and if mounts are available before doing anything else.

I wish USA would go to the VM/ZM mount system. It would solve all canted reticle and spacing problems, not even mentioning problems caused by too tight rings.
