But that is backwards for mounting to a Sako. From the rear and moving forward, a Sako dovetail gets narrower by 1mm for every 16mm forward it goes, or some rate similar to that off the top of my head. But you already know all this. It looks like the mount you will need will have to be female/female to rail mount on anything. I'm just thinking out loud here.

It may be obsolete however.Just find out what it is and if mounts are available before doing anything else. I wish USA would go to the VM/ZM mount system. It would solve all canted reticle and spacing problems,not even mentioning problems caused by too tight rings.
