Only way to get better is to actually spend the time going and messing up instead of just reading how to hunt on aldeer or any forum/magazine

Woods birds are far easier to kill than pasture birds. Really? I've always found it pretty easy to kill birds I can lay eyes on... Yep, I've found it pretty easy to kill birds in a field that see a fan or a dek....... I don't use a fan or a deke and woods birds are across the board easier than pasture birds to kill. I guess a rifle wouldn't be cheating???

You misunderstood me. I never said I was above it! You'd crawl up on one wouldn't you? Rule 14: If he's in the right mood, anyone can call one up. It takes a woodsman to get within range of a 3-4 year old bottomland gobbler. Crawling beats calling. Calling is so overrated.

Rule 14b (can't keep track of numbers above). Internet turkey hunters are far superior hunters than anyone I've ever met in person. Big 10-4 on that one.

Rule 14b (can't keep track of numbers above). Internet turkey hunters are far superior hunters than anyone I've ever met in person. That's probably very true, but there are a bunch of guys on here that our as good of turkey hunters you'd be able to find anywhere.
