I have looked at a tone of Bill's stuff on youtube. But recently started going step by step with Chris Akins Duck Dog Basics 1-3 dvd's. and They have made a huge improvement in me and my dog. Highly suggest them. I use a lot of Bills drills still for memory marking and place, but had a very hard time running blinds and T drills with his method (probably just me). But Go with whatever you can have confidence in so that will transfer to your dog. Freddy king also has good resources online.

I use Total Retriever Training 2 by Mike Lardy. It is excellent.
