As some of y'all know, I've looking for a boat. It amazes me at the number of fake adds on Craigs list. They are posted as a local sale then when you reply, you get some story about how the female sellers husband died or she got divorced and moved out of state to be with other family. Then they go on to tell you how they can't be present for the sale due to work or health issues, but will ship the boat through eBay motors and you get 5 days to try it out and if your not happy you can return it on their dime...yadda yadda yadda. Thing is it's not listed on eBay ...I have already sniffed out two of those in the last 3 days.

The one that I have yet to figure out though is where I'm the seller. I have my lathe listed and some guy claims he wants it but refuses to pay cash when he picks it up but wants to pay through PayPal ... I haven't figured out what his game is... Anybody got any clues?

Yes. They create a fake PayPal web site and yes I said web site. You receive an email from this fake pay pal website with a link to click on. Then enter your login info thinking you're really logging in to pay pal and then BAM they have your log in info and can access your bank and or cc cards instantly.

What kind of boat you looking for?

“Killing tomorrow’s trophies today.”

On the distance I like to walk to my stands:
“The first 100 yards is also the last 100 yards.”

Holler at Klay...he'll get you fixed up. The scammers will almost always have only 1 picture, their number or email in the pic or will be asking some extremely low price.

Go to bass boat central www.bbcboards.net then click on boats for sale, should be on a menu on the left side of the screen,,, all boats for sale are alphabetically listed, there are some good buys from that site. IF you're not a member you can still look at the boats. Membership and registration is free ,, a great bunch of fellers there.

Yep. They'll have a price like $3071 for something. It's will be ridiculous low and an odd ball number. Sad part is they only have to be right just 1 time. Most of us can sniff those things out but there's always 1 dummy that they'll hit it big on.
